Quiet minimalist wall art from the Black Forest, where fog holds the frame
I took this during a walk near my mother's home in Freiburg, in a part of the Black Forest where fog moves through like a held breath. The colors are muted, almost neutral: beige bark, grey mist, soft browns fading into nothing. I'm drawn to fog because it does what my mind rarely allows. It limits the view. Forces me to see only what's close, what's real, what's now.
My thoughts usually scatter in every direction, planning and worrying about things miles ahead. But when the forest disappears ten feet in front of you, there's a strange relief in it. You can only take the next step. You can't see far enough to spiral into anything else. This image holds that feeling for me: the permission to stop reaching so far forward, to let the distant blur stay blurred. Sometimes clarity comes from seeing less, from resting in what little you can see.

This is a reduced color photograph shaped by fog, distance, and limited visibility rather than by ICM or multiple exposure. The minimalist quality comes from what the weather removes, leaving only the nearest forms and the feeling of the next step.

At the moment, prints are offered as open editions rather than limited runs. Each print is produced individually and made to order, with close attention to materials, scale, and presentation.

Are the prints signed?
Prints are generally not signed. Signing is possible on request and can be discussed individually. Please note that this may affect production time and, in some cases, the overall cost.
How long does it take to receive a print?
Prints are made to order through reliable print partners in different regions. Production and delivery usually take two to four weeks, depending on the format and your location. If timing matters for a specific situation, get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
What is your return policy?
Since prints are produced individually and made to order, returns are not usually possible. However, if there is a production issue or damage during shipping, I will make sure it's resolved. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out and we'll take it from there.
