Rest
I took this during a walk near my mother's home in Freiburg, in a part of the Black Forest where fog moves through like a held breath. The colors are muted, almost neutral: beige bark, grey mist, soft browns fading into nothing. I'm drawn to fog because it does what my mind rarely allows. It limits the view. Forces me to see only what's close, what's real, what's now.
My thoughts usually scatter in every direction, planning and worrying about things miles ahead. But when the forest disappears ten feet in front of you, there's a strange relief in it. You can only take the next step. You can't see far enough to spiral into anything else. This image holds that feeling for me: the permission to stop reaching so far forward, to let the distant blur stay blurred. Sometimes clarity isn't about seeing everything. It's about resting in what little you can see.
Print Details & Interior Styling Guide
Visual Palette
A muted forest palette of beige, grey, and soft brown. The colors are nearly neutral, making the print easy to live with while still carrying the quiet texture of bark, fog, and distance.
Atmosphere & Placement
Rest is suited to spaces where you want calm, softness, and permission to slow down: bedrooms, therapy rooms, reading corners, or quiet offices. Its reduced forest mood supports stillness without feeling empty.
Process
This is a reduced color photograph shaped by fog, distance, and limited visibility rather than by ICM or multiple exposure. The minimalist quality comes from what the weather removes, leaving only the nearest forms and the feeling of the next step.
Print Details
The simplest option is an unframed 40 x 60 cm fine art print starting around €90-100, usually produced as a Giclée print on Hahnemühle fine art paper such as Photo Rag or Baryta. Larger sizes, framing, aluminum dibond, and acrylic mounting can also be discussed if you want something more specific for your space.

Frequently Asked Questions
What material are the prints?
All prints are produced in close conversation with the collector. The standard option is a gallery-quality fine art photographic print on archival paper (for example Hahnemühle Photo Rag).
Depending on the image and the intended space, alternative formats such as aluminium dibond, prints mounted behind acrylic glass, or framed works are also possible. These choices are best discussed individually to find the presentation that fits both the photograph and its future home.
What sizes are available?
Sizes are determined together with the collector and depend on the image and its context. Standard formats start at 40 × 60 cm and go up to 100 × 150 cm, including large-format options suited to statement walls. For specific spaces or multi-piece installations, custom sizing can be discussed.
Are the prints limited edition?
At the moment, prints are offered as open editions rather than limited runs. Each print is produced individually and made to order, with close attention to materials, scale, and presentation.
The goal is a work that feels right for the image and the space it lives in, not artificial scarcity. If you're looking for something exclusive, we can have a conversation about individual solutions.
Are the prints signed?
Prints are generally not signed. Signing is possible on request and can be discussed individually. Please note that this may affect production time and, in some cases, the overall cost.
How much do the prints cost?
Prices vary depending on the image, format, and presentation. Entry-level fine art prints begin at around €100. Larger works, special materials, or custom solutions are discussed individually with the collector.
Please get in touch — we can surely find a good solution for you.
Can I request a custom order?
Yes. Custom requests are welcome and can be discussed individually. If you're looking for something specific or don't see your question answered here, feel free to get in touch.
How long does it take to receive a print?
Prints are made to order and produced through reliable print partners in different regions. Delivery times therefore vary slightly depending on location and the chosen format.
In most cases, production and shipping take around 5–10 business days. If timing is important for a specific situation, feel free to reach out and I'll do my best to find the quickest suitable option.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Prints are available worldwide through a network of trusted print and fulfillment partners.
What is your return policy?
Since prints are produced individually and made to order, returns are not usually possible. However, if there is a production issue or damage during shipping, I will make sure it's resolved. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out and we'll take it from there.
Is your work suitable for collectors and interior designers?
Yes. The work is collected by private buyers and is equally well suited for professional environments such as offices, hospitality spaces, hotels, or cruise ships. The photographs span a wide range of tones and moods, allowing them to support different atmospheres and contexts.
I'm happy to collaborate on finding the right image, scale, and presentation for a specific space. If you're looking for a particular theme or mood that isn't visible on the website, feel free to reach out and we can explore suitable options together.
