Berlin's Viktoriapark gave me this: a waterfall that cascades through layered time. I exposed the frame twice, letting the water meet itself in an imperfect symmetry that hovers between real and imagined. The greens are deep, nearly brown where the trees press close. What draws me still is how the flow doesn't perfectly align. These aren't identical halves. One rushes slightly ahead of the other, or behind. You can trace the water's path from the monument at the summit down through rock and moss, watch it split and rejoin. The effect is fluid, almost dreamlike, but grounded in the actual movement of water over stone. I think of it as seeing two moments at once, the way a place can feel both familiar and strange when you return to it, or the way water always changes but stays itself.
