Maxstr
Abstract wall art of Augsburg's Maxstraße, where the city holds itself apart
On Maxstraße, Augsburg's main artery, I let the city fragment into layers of white, beige, and pale blue. Through multiple exposures, the tram line cables became a system of order, dividing the frame into neat territories. Each section feels quarantined from the next, the way things here often do. There's a cleanness to Bavaria that can feel almost austere, this idea that everything deserves its category, its designated space. The sky bleeds into buildings, yet somehow the lines hold. I think about how conservative cultures create their own grids, visible and invisible. How we organize what refuses to be organized. The piece hovers between structure and dissolution, never quite committing to either. It's that tension I wanted to preserve: the pull between letting go and holding tight and finding yourself in that space.
Print Details & Interior Styling Guide
The palette of Maxstr
Washed whites, warm beige, and pale blue, softened further by motion. The palette behaves the Scandinavian way: quiet next to light wood, barely there against white walls.
Where to place the Maxstr print in your home
The ordered calm suits a living room wall as much as a desk, anywhere thought needs a little structure. The tram cables give the softness a spine, so the image settles a room without going vague.
How Maxstr was made
The city fragments into overlapping planes through layered exposures (multiple exposure technique), where tram cables and architecture divide the frame into separate yet connected zones. Structure and blur coexist, creating a sense of ordered dissolution.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the prints limited edition?
At the moment, prints are offered as open editions rather than limited runs. Each print is produced individually and made to order, with close attention to materials, scale, and presentation.
The goal is a work that feels right for the image and the space it lives in, not artificial scarcity. If you're looking for something exclusive, we can have a conversation about individual solutions.
Are the prints signed?
Prints are generally not signed. Signing is possible on request and can be discussed individually. Please note that this may affect production time and, in some cases, the overall cost.
How long does it take to receive a print?
Prints are made to order through reliable print partners in different regions. Production and delivery usually take two to four weeks, depending on the format and your location. If timing matters for a specific situation, get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
What is your return policy?
Since prints are produced individually and made to order, returns are not usually possible. However, if there is a production issue or damage during shipping, I will make sure it's resolved. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out and we'll take it from there.
