Puzzle
Abstract wall art of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, layered onto itself
I caught Baltimore's Inner Harbor mid-thought, walking through on a family trip with my camera set to layer one exposure over another. The buildings there, the aquarium especially, have this clean geometric quality that feels distinctly American to me, coming from Europe. I wanted to pull those shapes apart and see how they'd fall back together.
Blue dominates, it belongs to both glass facades and harbor water, with grey threading through like urban fog. Each layer shifts slightly against the next, angles meeting at impossible joints. The puzzle in the title has no solution. It's the feeling of standing there, wondering what's happening under the water's surface while the city stacks itself overhead.
The colors stay cool, architectural. I kept thinking about thresholds: air and water, the aquarium's worlds within worlds, the way a city can show you one face while hiding everything else.

The palette of Puzzle
Glass blue and urban grey, cool from edge to edge. Keeping the temperature even is what lets the stacked geometry stay orderly instead of busy.
Where to place the Puzzle print in your home
A city-minded print for a living room that likes a little argument, or a studio. Angles meeting at impossible joints make it better company than something serene would be: it thinks along with you.
How Puzzle was made
Created through multiple exposures, the photograph stacks Baltimore's harbor architecture into an abstract urban composition. The technique pulls apart reflections, buildings, and water, then lets them settle back into a puzzle of overlapping planes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the prints limited edition?
At the moment, prints are offered as open editions rather than limited runs. Each print is produced individually and made to order, with close attention to materials, scale, and presentation.
The goal is a work that feels right for the image and the space it lives in, not artificial scarcity. If you're looking for something exclusive, we can have a conversation about individual solutions.
Are the prints signed?
Prints are generally not signed. Signing is possible on request and can be discussed individually. Please note that this may affect production time and, in some cases, the overall cost.
How long does it take to receive a print?
Prints are made to order through reliable print partners in different regions. Production and delivery usually take two to four weeks, depending on the format and your location. If timing matters for a specific situation, get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
What is your return policy?
Since prints are produced individually and made to order, returns are not usually possible. However, if there is a production issue or damage during shipping, I will make sure it's resolved. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out and we'll take it from there.
