I was lost in the maze of Lisbon's streets when I came across this bending road. The composition called to me immediately, the curves and colors were striking, but something was missing. So I waited. When this darkly dressed figure finally walked through, everything clicked into place. Their presence gave the scene its pulse, a dynamic element that makes the whole image move. Through intentional motion, I dissolved the hard edges of architecture into something more feeling than form.
The palette is restrained: deep blacks anchor the mysterious figure, while beiges and warm whites create soft, flowing layers that feel almost like brushstrokes. There's a solitude in it, an inwardness, that I still respond to. The abstraction lets the eye wander the frame the way I wandered those streets, finding something new each time.

How Figura was made
Created with Intentional Camera Movement, the photograph softens Lisbon's architecture into painterly motion while preserving the human figure as the emotional center. The abstraction comes from movement, waiting, and the moment the figure enters the frame.

At the moment, prints are offered as open editions rather than limited runs. Each print is produced individually and made to order, with close attention to materials, scale, and presentation.

Are the prints signed?
Prints are generally not signed. Signing is possible on request and can be discussed individually. Please note that this may affect production time and, in some cases, the overall cost.
How long does it take to receive a print?
Prints are made to order through reliable print partners in different regions. Production and delivery usually take two to four weeks, depending on the format and your location. If timing matters for a specific situation, get in touch and I'll do my best to help.
What is your return policy?
Since prints are produced individually and made to order, returns are not usually possible. However, if there is a production issue or damage during shipping, I will make sure it's resolved. If something doesn't feel right, please reach out and we'll take it from there.
