I spent the day on a small boat near Corfu, savoring the particular freedom of choosing where to drop anchor, where to simply stop and drift. At one point I looked out at the water and let the gentle rocking blur what I was seeing. The Mediterranean became layers, white foam merging into pale blue, deepening to cerulean. The constant motion of waves against the hull translated into something softer than the sharp-edged world we usually demand from our vision.
I was reading about acceptance then, about how trying to smooth out every disruption in life is as futile as calming the ocean. This image holds that paradox: the sea is never still, yet these blurred bands feel more restful than any frozen moment could. It's water rendered as feeling rather than fact. The colors are simple, almost gentle. But there's something beneath that gentleness, the knowledge that all this softness is just motion seen differently.
